Bangladesh Chemical Congress 2008 (BCC08) will be held from January 30 to February 01, 2009 in the University of Dhaka. The Vice Chancellor of the University has kindly given his consent to be the Chief Patron. The inauguration ceremony will be held in the Teacher-Students Centre of the University, and the scientific sessions will be held in the newly constructed Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the University.

The theme of the Congress is “Chemistry for Clean Water”. Apart from the problem of water, the Congress as usual will focus on frontier level research in all the important fields of chemistry. Nobel Laureate, Professor Y. T. Lee of Taiwan (1986, Chemistry) has kindly consented to participate in the Congress and deliver a plenary lecture. Several other reputed international scientists have also accepted the invitation to participate in the Congress. |
